Carpenter Details:
- Temporary position
- $ 25.00 to $ 30.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)
The individual will have responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Performs skilled carpentry by following instructions, rough sketches or detailed drawings in the construction, repair, maintenance and alteration of doors, door closures, stairways, partitions and related fixtures.
- Builds rough wooden structures such as barricades, boxes, concrete forms, scaffolds, fences and wooden frameworks for use in various parts of buildings by applying the necessary procedures and construction specialties in fixing screens, floors, windows ceilings, etc.
- Duties will include many phases of the construction process including demolition, framing and finish carpentry.
Carpenter Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience as a carpenter or finish carpenter
- Responsible to follow and participate in the safety program and adhere to the safety practices.
- Perform job in the safest manner prescribed – Never put yourself in harm's way.
- Conduct yourself in a way that enhances personal safety and that of coworkers, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Supply personal tools
- Woodworking experience is required, along with basic tool knowledge and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Own transportation to and from various job sites
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
