Hiring for a Framing Carpenter in East Nashville, TN
Job Description
This role involves performing a wide range of carpentry tasks on a large new construction project, with a strong focus on framing, decking, and safety. You will work on a high-profile stadium build, using your hands-on carpentry experience and own tools to help construct structural and finish elements in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities

Install plywood decking according to project specifications and safety standards.

Frame walls using 2x4s and other lumber, ensuring accurate measurements and level, plumb construction.

Build and tear down handrails and temporary structures as needed to support construction activities.

Perform residential-style framing and concrete form carpentry tasks that support overall stadium construction.

Work safely and efficiently on an active construction job site, following all construction safety guidelines and procedures.

Use basic hand tools such as hammers, squares, chalk boxes, and tape measures to complete daily tasks.

Read and interpret basic measurements, layouts, and directions from supervisors or forepersons.

Collaborate with other carpenters and trades on site to complete assigned work on schedule.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools and materials at the end of each shift.

Follow orientation and site-specific safety instructions before regular shift work.
Essential Skills

At least 3 years of carpentry experience.

Proven experience working on a construction job site.

Framing experience, including residential framing and wall framing with 2x4s.

Ability to install plywood decking and perform form carpentry tasks.

Experience with drywall and related carpentry tasks.

Strong familiarity with construction safety practices and procedures.

Ability to use basic hand tools, including hammer, squares, chalk box, and tape measure.

Capability to provide and use a personal set of basic carpentry hand tools.

Ability to work safely and effectively in a new construction environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Any OSHA or related safety certifications are a plus.

Experience in residential construction is highly transferable.

Concrete form carpentry experience is highly beneficial.

Comfort working on large, high-profile construction projects such as stadiums.

Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, when required.

Work Environment
This position is based on a new construction stadium project, working primarily outdoors and in partially enclosed structures as the build progresses. The role follows a first-shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the expectation of being open to occasional Saturday work as needed and with at least three days’ notice. Orientation takes place from 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, after which regular shifts begin. The environment is an active construction site that requires strict adherence to construction safety practices and site rules. You will use basic carpentry hand tools and are expected to bring your own tool bags and tools, including hammer, square, chalk box, and tape measure. Work conditions involve standing, climbing, lifting, and working at various heights, typical of large-scale construction projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
