Carpenter
It is the responsibility of the Carpenter to build and repair carpentry related items throughout the property. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance carpentry, cabinetry, furniture, build and repair.
- Create shop drawings, general hotel room repair and maintenance.
- Hang artwork, hang signage, finish carpentry, brass, plastics, laminate, commercial door hardware, moldings, adhesives.
- Must be able to operate hand tools, and any related carpentry equipment.
- Must provide all hand tools necessary.
- Miscellaneous carpentry repair throughout the property.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
- Work overtime weekends and holidays. Assist other trades when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years Journeyman Carpentry experience.
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
- Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
