- Assist in the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, renovation, remodeling and general upkeep in order to keep the facility functional and attractive to prospective customers.
- Complete assigned work orders for general repair within assigned timeframe in order to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the Hotel, its safety, and its equipment.
- Perform systematic checks and inspections to aid in the upkeep of the hotel and assist in the established proactive maintenance program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns and general depreciation.
- Immediately and courteously, respond to guests needs in order to repair and/or resolve room maintenance requests and problems as they arise.
- Maintain tools, workspaces and equipment in safe, secure and good condition in order to reduce accidents and to prolong their use.
- Repair and/or change room locks for the security of hotel and guests.
- Assist department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and associates.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner at all times.
- All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Capable of dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
- Fulfill Carillon Miami Beach Standards for service to guests, residents and club members.
- Responsible for PPE (personal protective equipment) use and daily maintenance.
- Adhere to Carillon Miami Beach Facility Lock and Key policies and procedures.
- Support the HotSOS work order system in implementation and adherence, including the prioritization of assigned work. Originate work orders to remedy problems and/or faulty conditions and assure the quality and timeliness of the remedial work.
- Maintain open and professional communication between management and staff. Follow procedures in the use and maintenance of all communication equipment and devices.
- Read, write and communicate instructional and other technical terms, details and concepts in the English language, that are consistent with the job requirements of a painter/carpenter.
- Support the Hazard Communication Program of the facility. This includes a thorough knowledge of MSDS, product labeling, storing and handling of materials etc.
- Assist in execution and quality of the work assigned to the Engineering Maintenance team.
- All activities, work, actions and time are documented in writing, on a daily basis.
