Carpenter ForemanArcher Western Construction is currently seeking a Carpenter Foreman for the West Bartow Water Reclamation Facility, in Kingston, GA.The Carpenter Foreman will supervise, coordinate, and schedule crew of 3-15 construction employees daily;
oversee carpentry operation in assigned area to include: construction and installation of structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.Our employees are built to succeed. We are dedicated to career advancement by rewarding hard work and initiative.Join the team that is building the infrastructure where you work and live!ResponsibilitiesSupervises their crews within their specific area or portion of the projectSchedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers while communicating and coordinating schedules with other tradesRead specifications, such as plans to determine construction requirements or to plan proceduresLocate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipmentRecord information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reportsProvide assistance to workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools or other equipmentExamine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are metMust adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environmentTrain and supervise workers on company policies, safety practices, regulations and proceduresQualifications5 years Construction Foreman experience preferred5-8 years of verifiable construction experience requiredDemonstrated leadership capabilities;
experience managing crews and subcontractors preferredAbility to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendorsAbility to effectively read and understand work plansRequires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladderMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs;
may be required to workin adverse weather conditions.Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures;
communicate effectivelywith co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.Requires good manual dexterity;
