Hiring Carpenters – Large Data Center Project – Cheyenne, WY

Join a major commercial data center build as a Carpenter, overseeing temporary structures, concrete formwork support, and door/hardware installation. This role spans multiple phases of new construction and requires strong coordination, safety awareness, and hands-on expertise in both rough and finish carpentry.

Job Description:

• Temporary structures — build/install temporary protection, safety carpentry, fence lining, weather protection, hole covers, rails, walls, and stairs
• Concrete formwork support — assist form setters with grade beams, slab-on-grade, footings, columns, and plywood forms
• Rough carpentry — metal framing, metal stud installation, and structural carpentry
• Doors & hardware — install doors and hardware to spec
• Finish carpentry — trim, interior finish, and detailed carpentry
• Support concrete pours and finishing
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with general site upkeep
• Work collaboratively with crews of 5–30 and coordinate with other trades

Skills/Requirements:

• 4+ years commercial journeyman-level carpentry experience
• Experience across all phases of commercial construction (rough → finish)
• Experience in temporary protection/safety carpentry
• Skilled in metal framing and metal stud installation
• Proven door and hardware installation experience
• Proficiency in trim and finish carpentry
• Experience with grade beams, slab-on-grade, footings, columns, and plywood formwork
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
• Safe, proficient use of hand and power tools
• Experience on large commercial new-construction sites

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cheyenne, WY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
