Experienced Carpenter
Assignment Location: Catalina Island, CA
Project Duration: Approximately 4months
Pay: Open based on experience and qualifications - $30-35/hr
Note: Candidate may start pending background check and drug screen but must pass both to remain on assignment.
Project Overview
This is a long term construction project on Catalina Island supporting critical generator infrastructure for a major utility company. Seeking a skilled Carpentar with strong form work, rebar, and conduit installation experience. You must be flexible and comfortable rotating between duties as the job demands.
This is a project based role only.
Daily Duties

• Rebar installation
• Form work for concrete pours
• Conduit installation
• General construction site labor
• Manlift experience
• Building frameworks
• Scaffolding
• 3-5 years experience

Schedule

• Required 4x10 schedule
• Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm
• OT Fri/Sat available

Job Requirements
Travel Details:

• Monday departure on the 6:00am ferry from Long Beach (paid)
• Thursday return on the 7:55pm ferry (ticket paid, travel time unpaid)

Paid from Monday ferry departure through 5:00pm Thursday. Off the clock at 5:00pm Thursdays. Candidate is responsible for making the return ferry.
Travel, Housing & Per Diem

• Round trip ferry tickets provided
• Paid ferry time Monday morning only
• E bike transportation on the island
• Housing provided (hotel or condo)
• May include shared housing with private bedrooms
• $60 per day per diem (non taxed)
• Long Beach parking reimbursed weekly, approx. $100 per week

Requirements

• Fluent English required due to emergency signage
• Proven construction experience required
• Strong form work experience preferred
• Hard hats, work boots, and long pants required
• Shirts provided
• Clean clothes daily
• 5 panel drug screen required (can start pending)
• Background check required (can start pending)
• No driver's license required
• No concrete finishing
• No equipment driving

Compensation: $30-35/hr
