Hybrid Full Time Finance

Benefits

Competitive package including healthcare, paid time off, lifestyle perks, Employee Ownership participation, and professional development opportunities

Within this role, you'll sit at the centre of a growing cargo division within a global aviation brokerage, reporting directly to the SVP of Cargo.

Taking live client requirements, you'll assess exactly what needs to be moved, solve complex logistical challenges and determine the most effective way to deliver it.

You'll understand how cargo dimensions, payload, routing, urgency, aircraft capability, airline availability and margin all influence the solution. From there, you'll identify the right aircraft, negotiate directly with carriers and manage the charter from initial enquiry through to booking.

The division is entering a new phase of growth across the Americas, giving you the opportunity to join at an important stage and play a meaningful role in what comes next.

What will you take ownership of?

  • Assess cargo type, dimensions, weight, routing and timing requirements
  • Determine the most suitable aircraft and transportation solution
  • Source global capacity through certified airline and operator partners
  • Negotiate pricing and terms directly with carriers
  • Produce competitive quotations while protecting commercial margin
  • Manage cargo charters from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking
  • Coordinate agreements, documentation and operational requirements
  • Manage multiple urgent and time-critical enquiries simultaneously
  • Monitor capacity, aircraft availability and carrier pricing
  • Develop strong relationships with airlines and operators
  • Support the sales team with technical and operational expertise
  • Identify new revenue and account-growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate commercial and operational records

Who will do well here?

  • Someone with 3-5+ years' cargo charter, freight-forwarding or airline cargo experience
  • A professional who understands cargo aircraft types, capabilities and limitations
  • Someone confident assessing whether a movement is operationally viable
  • An experienced carrier or airline negotiator
  • A commercially aware operator who understands pricing and margin
  • Someone who enjoys the pace of urgent, complex and high-value movements
  • A candidate who wants more influence than a conventional coordination role provides
  • Someone able to work on a hybrid basis in Fort Lauderdale

Why is it worth considering?

  • $85,000-$110,000 basic, depending on experience
  • Commission and comprehensive benefits
  • Direct exposure to senior cargo leadership
  • A central position within a growing US cargo division
  • The opportunity to improve systems, relationships and ways of working
  • Health, dental and vision coverage
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • 401(k)
  • Employee ownership participation
  • International market exposure and potential travel
  • Clear room to develop as the cargo function grows

If you're passionate about the aviation industry, and open for an opportunity where you can grow and develop that passion.
