You will collaborate with development teams, users and stakeholders to ensure our software and solutions meet established acceptance criteria, architecture, requirements and the needs of our users in their operational environment. Working with other teams, end-users, operational Subject Matter Experts (SME) and stakeholders during each Agile Sprint and Program Increment, you will help ensure that we continue to provide high quality, accurate, state-of-the art solutions to the operational field.Responsibilities:Work with customers to solicit, analyze and decompose/translate requirements, user needs, and systems interfaces to support mission planning capability design and development by our Agile teamsWork with Product Managers, Product Owners, SMEs, architects and the customer's representatives to plan Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and product releasesValidate software functionality and behavior to ensure requirements and mission needs are met, including avionics data compliance with Interface Control Documents (ICD)Champion the end-user perspective and aircraft mission needs to our teams, ensuring they are properly addressed in design and development effortsSupport and participate in Integration and Test (I&T) activities as products and solutions are developed. This includes supporting aircraft or test bench load testing as applicableAnalyze ICDs and mission data mappingPrepare and present technical briefings and White Papers to customer management and staffAssist in preparing proposals, project plans, estimates/quotations, RFIs, and process improvements as requiredInvestigate aeronautical and mission data issues; analyze impacts, and develop solutions and alternativesInvestigate software discrepancy reports, bugs and integration issues to help determine cause and timely resolutionCoordinate, prepare, review and maintain product-related documentationSupport planning and execution of mission database load tests in lab environment and/or on-aircraftHere's what you'll need:Knowledge of route planning related data (e.g., aircraft route data, DAFIF, ARINC-424 or similar data specifications)Knowledge of aircraft, weapons, mission planning, and military air operationsFamiliarity with various flight management systems and/or applicable mission dataAnalytical skills to include tasks such as: decomposition of requirements, ICD and data analyses, software bug investigation, and software functional performance evaluationKnowledge or experience with SysML, UML, or Software Engineering experience with UML diagramingGood communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to developers and technical staff as well as non-technical usersAble to employ appropriate documentation and design diagrams to ensure collaborative understanding of technical matters among stakeholdersMust be a US CitizenClearance Required: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US DoD Secret or HigherMinimum Years of Experience: BS degree from an accredited school and at least four (4) years of related experience, or a MS degree from an accredited school and at least two (2) years of related experienceTravel Requirements: Work may require occasional travelWork Schedule/Location: Our team works on a compressed 9/80 schedule.
