Career Counselor, CALS Career ServicesThe Career Counselor will enhance the career and professional development of CALS students through individual career counseling and training programs. The Career Counselor's work will contribute to 4,500+ CALS students improving their career readiness, participating in experiential learning, and securing post-graduation opportunities aligning with their interests. The person in this position will report to the Director of CALS Career Services.Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Student Career and Professional TrainingProgram ManagementOther tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities.QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of related professional experience in higher education career services.Other Required Qualifications - Ability to guide students in making informed career decisions.

Ability to work with a high level of independence and autonomy while simultaneously functioning in a collaborative framework. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.

Technology expertise – demonstrated ability to use and learn technologies used in career services, such as Google suite, Zoom, Mailchimp, Canva, Symplicity, and CRM systems. Must be a creative, high-energy, and adaptable team player enthusiastic about supporting students in reaching their career goals.Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or working toward completion of a masters degree, in career counseling or higher education, with 2+ years of experience in higher education career services.Required License(s) or Certification(s) - Valid driver's license required.
