Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Surgeon with 3-5 years of post-training experience to join their team. This role involves performing a variety of cardiovascular procedures, including complex surgical interventions, within a collaborative healthcare environment.   • 27 state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest technology
  • Two Hybrid ORs and two Cardiac suites dedicated to Cardiac Surgery, including perfusion access and an enhanced integration system
  • CV specialized teams including Nurses, Scrub Techs, and Anesthesia Techs
  • Access to comprehensive resources, including robust clinical support, advanced imaging, and innovative surgical tools

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aneurysm repair, valve repair/replacement, and vascular surgeries
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans
  • Ensure the highest standards of surgical safety, precision, and quality during all procedures
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient consultations and follow-up appointments
  • Stay current on advancements in cardiovascular surgical procedures, techniques, and technologies

Shift & Schedule

  • Work Shift: 1 - Day

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Surgery
  • Valid Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • 3-5 years of post-training experience
  • Demonstrated experience in performing cardiovascular surgeries with a strong track record of successful patient outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to professional growth, continuous learning, and evidence-based practice
  • Experience with minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques (preferred)
