Cardiovascular Hospitalist Nocturnist (Hospitalist)

When you join us, you'll become part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to helping people live the healthiest lives possible.

About this role

We have a unique approach to caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. Our Cardiovascular Hospitalists are an independent hospitalist team working primarily out of the Acute Cardiovascular unit at Utah Valley Hospital. They admit patients with presumed primary cardiac conditions and provide comprehensive consultative service within the CV unit. The team manages heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, primary and secondary arrhythmias. If a different primary medical condition is identified, they continue to manage the patient on their service. Patients are not transferred to the General Medicine team. The CV Hospitalist collaborates closely with ID, rheumatology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, GI, and hematology/oncology specialists and other CV-based specialists. No additional or specialized cardiovascular training is required; cardiac focused education will be provided during clinical onboarding. Throughout the career, clinicians are expected to acquire and apply a deep understanding of cardiovascular disease, treatment, and imaging modalities. Candidates should have a passion for caring for cardiovascular patients.

Part‑time CV Hospitalists work approximately six 12‑hour shifts per month, are paid for shifts in excess of that average, and work with peers to request and cover time off as needed.
