- Current CV Surgery Team includes 1 physician and 2 APP's
- Robust Hospitalists group and Critical Care providers with 24/7 in-house coverage
- Cardiothoracic surgeries, vascular surgeries, device implants
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit (if applicable to setting)
- Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide nonsurgical and surgical care to adult and adolescent patients

- Sanford will cover license and DEA, travel, and lodging
Shift & Schedule
- Hospital Call 7am-7am
Requirements
- BE/BC Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Experience demonstrated by fellowship log (for recent fellows) OR quality profile from current hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications
- Ability to demonstrate at least 50 Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery procedures in the last 12 months
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated General Surgical residency program
- Completion of a fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery or General Thoracic Surgery accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
