Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Needed in South Carolina

A South Carolina hospital is seeking locum tenens coverage from a cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant. The incoming provider will take 1/3 call for cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery along with operating 5 days per week. There are multiple surgeons total in the group, so the average surgical day is around 2 – 3 cases. There is no outpatient clinic involved, so it’s essentially OR and subsequent inpatient rounds, consults, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take 1/3 call for cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery
2. Operate 5 days per week
3. Assist in 2 – 3 surgical cases per day
4. Conduct inpatient rounds and consults

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant
• CT Surgery experience
• First Assist experience
• Willingness to work in South Carolina
