Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU Nocturnist

Northwell Health is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgery Nocturnist to join their team at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. This role involves providing critical care in the Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU, which handles a wide range of cardiac procedures and advanced heart failure management. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained and Board Certified in Critical Care, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative, high-quality patient care.

Practice Info

• Work in the Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU at Lenox Hill Hospital, a 450-bed acute care facility on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
• The CT ICU is a 12-bed unit.
• The cardiac surgical team performs all open cardiac procedures, transcatheter-based therapies, and advanced heart failure management including ECMO.
• The cardiac surgery program consistently receives the highest quality ratings from the NYS Department of Health and the Society for Thoracic Surgeons.
• Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners.

Compensation

• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.

Requirements

• Fellowship trained in Critical Care.
• Board Certified in Critical Care.
• Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery.
• Candidates graduating from sub-specialty training will be considered depending upon experience during fellowship training.
