Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, and thoracic surgeries
- Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
- Participate in the development of clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs
- Engage in patient education, ensuring clear communication about procedures, risks, and post-operative care
- Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents and medical students, if applicable
- Maintain an active role in community outreach and promoting Houston Methodist's mission of unparalleled patient care

Requirements
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Valid Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proven expertise in advanced surgical techniques and minimally invasive approaches is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
