Cardiothoracic Surgeon

AdventHealth Redmond is seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its nationally recognized program in Northwest Georgia. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on all aspects of cardiac surgery within a high-performing, faith-based health system committed to whole-person care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac surgery and an interest in program development, working collaboratively with an expert team of caregivers and advanced practice providers.

Practice Info

• Focus on all aspects of Cardiac surgery, with an interest in thoracic surgery being a plus but not a requirement
• Collaborative surgical partners with a focus in cardiac and structural heart
• Strong APP Support and CT Navigator Support
• 12-Bed designated ICU
• Established program with a Robotics program featuring state-of-the-art equipment including 2 Da Vinci robots
• Part of AdventHealth system, a 230-bed facility in Northwest Georgia

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of adult cardiothoracic procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement
• Help to lead and grow the thoracic program throughout the Georgia market (a plus)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, pulmonologists, and critical care physicians
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical outcomes initiatives

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board-certified or board-eligible through American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• Eligible for Georgia medical licensure
