Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Tenet Healthcare and Detroit Medical Center are seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an established group within one of Michigan's most recognized health systems. This full-time employed position with Detroit Medical Group/Tenet Physician Resources offers the opportunity to practice across a dynamic multi-hospital network, including a Level I Trauma Center, handling complex cases with strong collegial support. The role is backed by the infrastructure and resources of a major health system.

Practice Info

• Primary site: Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage at Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital (Adult Central Campus)
• Call: Weekends and holidays shared with a group of two CT surgeons, including Level I Trauma Thoracic coverage
• Support staff: 2 CT Surgical PAs available to assist with rounding and call
• Practice setting: Award-winning multi-hospital system with Level I and II Trauma Centers, tertiary adult and pediatric referral centers, and community hospitals
• Logistics: All DMC facilities offer easy access and free parking

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient clinic 1-2 days per week
• Manage OR time driven by caseload and ER consults
• Conduct inpatient rounding, including ICU units

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Michigan medical license, or willingness to obtain
