Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient coverage on a 24-hour shift and 24-hour call basis
- Perform adult cardiac surgery, CABG using internal mammary arteries and radial artery conduits including redo cases, and heart valve repair and replacement
- Perform general thoracic procedures such as tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication, lung biopsy, and pericardial window
- Manage ICU care for high-acuity cases including Impella insertion, removal, and bailout
- Provide medical management of critically ill patients
- Provide structural heart procedure support in the hybrid OR and cath lab
