Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its established program at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Summit Campus, in Oakland, California. This role offers a collaborative environment within a physician-owned and physician-led medical group, supported by Sutter Health. The position involves providing comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care, balancing adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, within a regional referral center.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care across adult cardiac and thoracic surgery (50% adult cardiac surgery and 50% thoracic surgery)
- Perform coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, complex aortic procedures, and lung surgery
- Manage acute and chronic aortic syndromes, including aortic dissections
- Collaborate closely with interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure, structural heart, cardiovascular imaging, and pulmonology teams

Requirements
- Current Board Certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery required
- Minimum five years of post-training experience
- Expertise in adult cardiac surgery, including coronary, valvular, and aortic procedures
- Expertise in thoracic surgery, including lung resection and general thoracic procedures
- Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team
