Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a General Surgery residency and Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Proven experience in cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage complex surgical cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with cardiothoracic conditions.
- Perform complex surgical procedures including open-heart surgery, lung resections, and thoracic aneurysm repairs.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgical nurses, and other specialists to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive post-operative care and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participate in clinical education, research, and training programs.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiothoracic surgical techniques and technologies.
