Cardiothoracic Intensivist

The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Intensivist to join their Cardiac Surgery team at the Assistant Professor level. This role involves providing medical management to patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions within a 28-bed Cardiothoracic ICU. The intensivist will contribute to a leading academic medical center known for advanced cardiac and pulmonary failure therapies.

Practice Info

• The Cardiothoracic ICU is a 28-bed unit staffed with 22 APPs.
• Provides medical management to patients with complex therapies and interventions for advanced cardiac and pulmonary failure, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), cardiac transplant, complex cardiac and vascular surgery, and all subspecialties of cardiology practice.
• Strong Memorial Hospital is an 886-bed, Level I Trauma Center.
• Approximately 1,100 cardiac surgical cases are performed annually.

Compensation

• Compensation: $325,000- $400,000
• Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries.
• Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Adult Critical Care Medicine
• M.D./D.O. Degree or equivalent
• Eligible for a New York State Medical License
• Must meet all credentialing requirements
• Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
• Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
• Open to visa sponsorship
