Cardiothoracic Intensivist

Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced, full-time Intensivist to join their Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing tertiary hospital on Long Island, focusing on advanced cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care. Practice Info

• Work in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• South Shore University Hospital is a 305-bed tertiary hospital located 30 miles east of NYC on the south shore of Long Island, with plans to expand to over 400 beds.
• The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit is a 10-bed ICU unit with an additional 4 Stepdown beds.
• The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service line performs 600 cardiac related surgeries per year, including open procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI.
• Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners.

Compensation

• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.

Requirements

• Fellowship trained in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery (required).
• Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery (required).
• Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery.
• Candidates graduating from sub-specialty training will be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training.
