Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join their established Department of Anesthesia at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive anesthesia coverage, including medical direction to CRNAs, regional anesthesia, OB, and invasive monitoring. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care, research, and education within a leading rural health system.

Practice Info

  • Join an established Department of Anesthesia in Marshfield, Wisconsin
  • Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship trained physician would be preferred
  • General Anesthesiologist with additional training or experience in cardiac care and TEE is welcome to apply
  • Physicians are strongly encouraged to be involved in medical education and research

Responsibilities

  • Provide Anesthesia coverage including medical direction to CRNAs, regional anesthesia, OB, and invasive monitoring
  • Perform history and physical examinations
  • Provide comprehensive management of patients of all ages rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgical and obstetrical procedures

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency/fellowship of at least 3-4 years' duration in Anesthesia accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
  • Experience can be demonstrated by providing fellowship log (for recent fellowship graduates) OR a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including at least 200 Anesthesia cases OR documentation of hospital-based clinical activity for the past 24 months, including at least 200 Anesthesia cases
