Job Overview

Full‑time, non‑tenure‑eligible Clinician‑Educator Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist at the rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor. The role is based in Chicago, Illinois at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities

Provide cardiothoracic and general anesthesia care to patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, including management of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, heart and lung transplantations, mechanical circulatory support devices, structural heart procedures, and other state‑of‑the‑art surgical or interventional procedures.

Participate in the educational programs of the Department of Anesthesiology and the Feinberg School of Medicine, including teaching and education of medical students, residents and house staff.

Contribute to the research programs of the department.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology including echocardiography.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Anesthesiology.
• Medical licensure in Illinois or eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
