The Cardiology Technologist performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12‑lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holter Monitor application and scanning. Has full access to patient health information.
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, rotating every 4th weekend.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
- Computer skills preferred.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
