Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a flexible and experienced cardiovascular Physician Assistant to join the Coastal Cardiology team.

Location

Charleston, SC – covering five hospitals and six outpatient locations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of provider experience, preferably in inpatient and outpatient cardiology.
• Collaborate with a team of 10 PAs and 15 cardiologists.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations specific to cardiovascular health.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Assist in preoperative and postoperative care of patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Manage and follow up on patients with chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to treatment regimens.
• Prescribe medications and treatments according to protocols and within the scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular medicine through continuous education and professional development.
