A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a promising opportunity with their Cardiology team at their outpatient practice.
About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document patient histories related to chief complaints and visit reasons
- Perform physical examinations, evaluate patients, and document pertinent findings
- Provide care for adult patients with cardiovascular complaints and conditions
- Conduct and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and other appropriate examinations
- Diagnose cardiovascular conditions, develop treatment plans, and assess response to therapy
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program registered by the New York State Education Department
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner treating Cardiovascular conditions
- Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved accrediting body such as ANCC or AANP
- Current, unencumbered New York State RN license
- Active or eligible Medicare/Medicaid enrollment
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfort with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:
- Experience with cardiac stress testing
- Background in complex cardiac imaging
- Experience collaborating with cardiology physicians in an outpatient setting
- Experience in preventive maintenance and chronic disease management for cardiac patients
