Locums - Roseburg, Oregon Interventional Cardiology Opportunity

Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for locums coverage in Roseburg, Oregon. This is an inpatient-only opportunity with no clinic responsibilities. The role combines STEMI/interventional call with some general Cardiology call, including inpatient consults, cardiac imaging interpretation, and Cath Lab procedures.

Assignment Details

• Start: January 2027

• 10-15 shifts per month

• Approximately 10 STEMI call days per month

• Approximately 5-7 General Cardiology call days per month

• 0.5-1.0 FTE

• 24-hour call: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

• Orientation the day before start or morning of first shift

• Inpatient setting

• No clinic responsibilities

• Reason for coverage: Physician retirement

Position Highlights

• Inpatient Interventional Cardiology opportunity

• No outpatient clinic

• Mix of STEMI/interventional and General Cardiology call

• Approximately 2-6 coronary angiograms per day across inpatient/outpatient procedural volume

• Hospitalists manage all admissions

• Established Cardiology team

• Oregon license preferred, but licensing candidates accepted

• Emergency privileges may be available with a clean malpractice history

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour STEMI and Cardiology call

• Perform inpatient Cardiology consultations

• Follow personally managed patients until appropriate sign-off

• Consults must be completed within 24 hours of being requested

• Interpret inpatient echocardiograms and stress tests the same day

• Cover Cath Lab procedures as required

• Must participate in some General Cardiology call while providing STEMI coverage

General Cardiology Call

• Approximately 1-5 inpatient consults per day

• Approximately 5-10 echocardiogram interpretations per day

• Approximately 0-2 stress test interpretations per day

• Cath Lab coverage may include angiograms, cardioversions, and TEE

Interventional/STEMI Coverage

• STEMI management

• PCI

• Diagnostic coronary angiography

• Right and left heart catheterization

• IVUS

• FFR

• IFR

• Hospital consultations as needed

• Cath Lab coverage including angiograms, cardioversions, and TEE

Procedures & Skills

• PCI

• Diagnostic cardiac catheterization

• Right heart catheterization

• Left heart catheterization

• STEMI intervention

• IVUS

• FFR

• IFR

• Echocardiogram interpretation

• Stress test interpretation

• Cardioversion

• Transesophageal echocardiography

Support & Technology

• 3 General Cardiologists

• 2 Interventional Cardiologists

• 1 Nurse Practitioner

• Fully staffed clinical support team

• Anesthesia support available as needed for inpatient procedures

• Hospitalist service manages admissions

• EMR: Meditech with PatientKeeper interface

Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology highly preferred

• Truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology accepted

• Interventional Cardiology fellowship required

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• DEA required

• Active Oregon medical license highly preferred

• Candidates willing to obtain an Oregon license during credentialing will be considered

• Must be willing to provide both STEMI/interventional and some General Cardiology call coverage

• Clean malpractice history required for emergency privileges

Credentialing

• Oregon license preferred

Organization & Team

• Inpatient-only Cardiology service

• No clinic responsibilities

• Established team of General and Interventional Cardiologists with NP support

• Procedure days are not blocked

• Combination of inpatient consults, imaging interpretation, Cath Lab procedures, and STEMI coverage
