Cardiology Hospitalist

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiology Hospitalist to join their team at the Sanford Heart Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves providing comprehensive cardiac care to adult patients within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will join a robust team of cardiologists, electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and advanced practice providers, contributing to a leading health system dedicated to transforming healthcare.

Practice Info

• Join staff including 8 general cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, and 4 cardiothoracic surgeons as well as 12 advanced practice providers
• Hospital service is supported by advanced practice providers
• Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents are assigned to hospital service
• Cardiac CT and MRI available
• Patient catchment area of over 1 million
• Early adopters of new surgical advancements

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examination
• Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide treatment or consultative services for adult patients presenting with diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels

Shift & Schedule

• On-call is split evenly among the general cardiologists

Requirements

• BC/BE Cardiology Hospitalist
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Internal Medicine residency program and completion of a fellowship in Cardiology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency
• Certification by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
