Cardiology Coder

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Cardiology Coder will ensure accurate and compliant coding for physician cardiology services by reviewing documentation, assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and maintaining coding standards in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Code a variety of cardiology services, including catheterization, electrophysiology, and echocardiograms Review medical records to ensure diagnoses and procedures are supported by clinical documentation Stay current on coding guidelines and regulations while maintaining productivity and quality standards Required qualifications 2+ years of recent professional fee coding experience, with a strong preference for cardiology services Active AHIMA or AAPC credential (CPC, CCS-P, CCS, CCA, RHIT, RHIA, COC, or related) Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding Ability to consistently meet a 95% quality standard while maintaining productivity expectations Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
