We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients across the full spectrum of cardiac conditions. The Cardiologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular disease while developing individualized treatment plans and coordinating care with primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients presenting with cardiovascular symptoms and risk factors.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and valvular heart disease.
  • Obtain and interpret comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, laboratory results, and diagnostic studies.
  • Interpret cardiac diagnostic testing, including:
  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs)
  • Echocardiograms
  • Stress tests
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic results, and patient needs.
  • Prescribe and manage medications and other therapeutic interventions.li>
  • Perform or assist with appropriate cardiovascular procedures based on specialty and training.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
  • Provide preventive cardiology services, including cardiovascular risk assessment and management.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, hospitalists, surgeons, and other specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, consultations, and inpatient care when applicable.
  • Provide emergency evaluation and management of acute cardiovascular conditions when required.
  • Stay current with advances in cardiology, evidence-based treatment guidelines, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the applicable state.
  • Current DEA registration, as required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellowship training or experience in a cardiology subspecialty such as:
  • Interventional Cardiology
  • Electrophysiology
  • Advanced Heart Failure
  • Structural Heart
  • Nuclear Cardiology
  • Preventive Cardiology
  • Hospital and/or outpatient cardiology experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives.
