Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our General Cardiology Physician, you will join a busy and expanding General Cardiology Practice at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, playing a pivotal role in the continued success and development of our Cardiovascular Services, which includes affiliation with world‑class Stanford University heart surgeons.

You will provide expert clinical care to your general cardiology patients. You will actively collaborate within an established and well‑respected 60+ provider multi‑specialty group, contributing to both patient care and the advancement of cardiovascular health in our community.

  • Opportunity for hospital based procedures (TEE, cardioversion, etc)
  • Leadership Opportunities available (with additional compensation)
  • If desired, Interventional Cardiologists may participate in call 5‑7 days a month (but is not required)
  • Electrophysiologist support
  • Bi‑weekly device clinic
  • Nuclear scans, Echos, dobutamine echos, etc all available in clinic.
  • Read your own Echos and participate in Echo panel, if desired

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Cardiology physician with a passion for clinical excellence, strong diagnostic and patient management skills, and a commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of California
  • Completion of an accredited post‑graduate training program
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiology care principles
