Cardiologist Physician

Location: Moultrie, GA | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: Competitive, experience-based salary with 3% annual cost-of-living adjustment and 100% of practice profits as bonus

Overview

A 155-bed community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia is seeking a General Cardiologist to join its dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality cardiac care, mentor future physicians, and work within a technologically advanced clinical environment.

What you'll do

• Provide non-invasive or invasive general cardiology care, depending on background and interest
• Work Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, balancing clinic and cath lab responsibilities
• Manage 14-20 patients daily in the clinic, with variable hospital patient volume
• Share call duty with fellow cardiologists, required 7 days per month, with additional pay for extra calls
• Mentor medical students and residents
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including ECG, Holter monitoring, echocardiograms, and TEE
• Perform cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and ICD insertion, and loop recorder placement
• Conduct stress tests, cardiac CT and MRI, and carotid studies

Required qualifications

• Completion or upcoming completion of cardiology fellowship
• Board-certified or board certification eligible, with a requirement to obtain certification within 5 years if eligible
• Hold a Georgia Medical License or participate in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
