Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Cardiologist role located in Murrieta, CA. The Cardiologist will evaluate patients with suspected or known cardiovascular disease, perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and ECGs, and develop individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, following hospitalized patients, managing chronic cardiac conditions, and coordinating care with primary care clinicians and other specialists. The role involves prescribing and monitoring medications, advising on lifestyle modifications and preventive care, and documenting encounters clearly and accurately in the medical record. The Cardiologist will also participate in practice meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development to maintain current clinical knowledge and support high standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology, with completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) to practice medicine in the state of California.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cardiovascular diagnostics, including ECG interpretation, echocardiography, stress testing and basic imaging review.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to manage both acute and chronic cardiac conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and explain complex information to patients and families in clear terms.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, professional ethics, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work on-site full time, manage a structured clinical schedule, and maintain organized, thorough documentation in electronic health records.
  • Willingness to participate in practice growth, quality improvement and continuing medical education to stay current with advances in cardiology.
