Cardiologist

Seeking a Cardiovascular Diseases physician for a locum tenens assignment in Sonora, California starting in November and ongoing. The clinician will provide daytime clinic-based care alongside 24-hour standby call coverage for inpatient and emergency department patients. Responsibilities include patient management, reading diagnostics such as echocardiograms and stress tests, and conducting cardiac consultations. This on-site role offers an opportunity to support cardiovascular care in a historic Sierra Nevada Foothills community.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic-based cardiovascular disease management
• Provide 24-hour standby call coverage and remain available to respond to calls in a timely manner per medical staff guidelines
• Read echocardiograms, stress tests, and ECGs
• Provide cardiac consultations for all inpatient and emergency department patients requiring a cardiac consult

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed: November - Ongoing
• Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 24-hour standby call component structured on a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM schedule
• Day shift, call, and 24-hour call shift types

Qualifications

• Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases is required for consideration
