The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah in the Department ofInternal Medicine invites applications for a full-time board-certified, or board eligible, noninvasive cardio-oncologist with an interest in academic practice. This faculty position offers the opportunity to join a leading academic medical center with a strong and rapidly growing cardio-oncology program. This program is a collaboration between the Universityof Utah and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, an NCI-Designated Comprehensive CancerCenter and a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). Theselected candidate will engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and other scholarlyactivities within a collaborative and supportive academic environment.


This role involves joining a highly collaborative team of two cardio-oncologists, a physicianassistant (PA), a nurse, and program coordinator. Our group also includes fourteen generalcardiologists and ten advanced HF cardiologists who closely collaborate.


The ideal candidate will pursue a well-rounded academic career that integrates clinicalcare, teaching, and research. Clinical responsibilities include providing outpatient cardiooncology services as well as contributing to inpatient and outpatient cardiology/HFservices, and participating in rotations in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Therole also includes medical education responsibilities, with opportunities to mentor andteach medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition to patient care and teaching,the position encourages involvement in clinical research and other scholarly activities.


Minimum Qualifications


Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible inCardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and beeligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah. This position requires prior clinicalexposure to cardio-oncology and/or prior fellowship in cardio-oncology.
