Cardiac Telemetry Med Surg Nurse

Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift for cardiac patients.
• Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation.
• Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging.
• Unit also cares for med‑surg telemetry patients on the nursing surgical floor (not OR).
• Specializes in abdominal surgery, including bariatrics.
• Floor has 30 beds.
• RN to patient ratio 1:5.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire.
• At least one (1) year of RN experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
