Perform open-heart surgery, minimally invasive procedures, or robotic-assisted surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve repairs. Assess patient surgical risk, diagnose conditions using test results (echocardiograms), and review progress on recovery in hospital rooms. Work with cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesiologists to develop individualized treatment plans. Update detailed records on surgical procedures and patient care. Respond to urgent situations and unexpected complications, such as hemorrhaging, during or after surgery.
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a Medical Degree or foreign equivalent, completion of a Cardiac Surgery residency program, and a Delaware state medical license.
