Cardiac Physician Assistant

AP Health is a private practice comprised of advanced practice providers that deliver perioperative services to hospitals, surgeons, and surgery centers.

AP Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in the greater Palm Beach, Florida area. A successful candidate would have at least 2+ years of experience in cardiac surgery.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room
• Positions and drapes the patient under the direction of the surgeon
• Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Daily inpatient rounds in ICU and stepdown units
• Rotating weekend and night CVOR coverage

Qualifications and Benefits

• 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assist
• Experience taking independent call
• Board certified by NCCPA
• Active BLS and ACLS
