Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems in the United States, is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join an established Cardiology department at Marshfield Medical Center - Weston. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a full EP program and services, from basic to complex EP practice, with dedicated EP labs and onsite CVT Surgery support. - Join a busy and established Cardiology department in Weston, Wisconsin.
- Possible outreach to other Marshfield Clinic Health System locations based on business need.
- 1 dedicated EP lab and a 2nd EP fully capable lab.
- Full EP program and services, from basic to complex EP practice.
- Clinic is adjacent to a Trauma Level III - 99 bed hospital.
- CVT Surgery support onsite.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit, evaluate, treat, and provide consultation to acute and chronically ill adult patients presenting with a variety of heart rhythm disorders.
- Perform some General Cardiology patient care.
- Perform 50 ICD/permanent pacemaker placements and 25 ablations in the past 24 months (demonstrated experience).
- Perform the first 10 Cardiac Invasive/Interventional EP procedures at Sanford Medical Center under the supervision of the EP Lab Director or Physician Designee.

Shift & Schedule
- Call rotation shared between Weston General Cardiology, Cardiac EP and Interventional Cardiology physicians.
Requirements
- BC/BE fellowship-trained Cardiac Electrophysiologist.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Internal Medicine residency program of at least 3 years' duration.
- Completion of a fellowship in Cardiology of at least 3 years' duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Successful completion of an approved ACGME training program that is 12 months in length for Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, in addition to the Cardiology fellowship.
- Certification by the appropriate specialty /subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training.
