Cardiac Electrophysiologist

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with New York City Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join its Division of Cardiology. This is an outstanding opportunity to help build and expand a comprehensive electrophysiology program at a major New York City teaching hospital. The successful candidate will work in a newly installed GE electrophysiology laboratory and help shape procedural workflows, equipment configuration, and clinical technologies. Faculty appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will be granted commensurate with credentials and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of electrophysiology procedures, including right- and left-sided catheter ablations
• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology consultation and longitudinal care
• Manage and follow patients with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and other cardiac implantable electronic devices
• Participate in the continued development of the electrophysiology laboratory, including selection and implementation of equipment, technologies, and procedural platforms
• Collaborate closely with general cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, critical care, anesthesia, and other clinical services
• Participate in the teaching and supervision of cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
• Contribute to quality improvement, multidisciplinary care, and the continued growth of cardiovascular services at Elmhurst

Compensation

• Compensation range from $400,000 to $400,000
• Base salary of $400,000
• Additional faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year
• Bonuses / incentive compensation

Requirements

• MD/DO degree
• Board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number
• Formal training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Board certified or board eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Proficient in both right- and left-sided catheter ablation
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but is not required
