Position Summary:
Knowledge of physiological, psychosocial and therapeutic components specific to assisting the appropriate treatment, and prioritizing of patients. Prepares for and monitors diagnostic and interventional procedures, electrophysiological studies, pacemaker insertions, intra-aortic balloon pumps, structural heart procedures and endovascular procedures. Sets up & breaks down equipment; performs hemodynamic calculations for patient reports. Able to work well in a fast paced environment, while maintaining composure and courtesy to patients and families.

Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
- Minimum one year experience as a Paramedic in the hospital or Pre-Hospital setting or related experience. Knowledge base requisite to the assessment and care for the cardiac / vascular patient.
- Must obtain Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Cath Tech or ARRT certification within 12 months of hire
- Effective oral and written communication skills in the English Language.
- Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assist with varied operative procedures and surgeon's verbal directives.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association Required
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association Required
- State of Florida Paramedic License OR
- Foreign Medical Graduate with a State of Florida License OR
- Surgical Assitant/Surgical Technician Certification
- CVT, CCT or ARRT Certification (within 12 months of hire)
