North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks a cardiac anesthesiologist to join their group at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. The position involves working within a 678-bed level II trauma center and a stable team providing anesthesia services across multiple regional locations. Candidates will collaborate with a devoted team of physicians dedicated to patient care and safety.
Practice Info
- Practice is based in the Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center, a 678-bed level II trauma center
- Provides anesthesia services to multiple locations across the Cape Fear region
- Practice has built a stable team of board-certified, career-committed anesthesiologists
- 12 members of the heart team, 4 fellowship trained
- LVAD program and structural heart program (TAVR's, Mitral clips, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Case assignments: Heart and Vascular, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Endos, Orthopedics and OB/GYN
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures - including invasive monitoring, peripheral nerve blocks, spinals/epidurals
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Compensation
- Salary: package: $605K with additional $50K Cardiac Stipend
- Up to $5K in relocation assistance
- Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $50K
- Salary: $655K
- Up to $5K Relocation Bonus

Qualifications
- TEE proficiency is required
- Completion of Cardiac Fellowship
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
