HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL, is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join their team. Responsibilities
- Perform case assignments including General, Ortho, Cardiac, Pediatrics, and OB.
- Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
- Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments.
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
- Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed.
Compensation
- Salary: $600,000
- Cardiac stipend: $100,000
- Sign-on bonus: $75,000

Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
- ECFMG and FLEX.
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
- Currently licensed as a physician.
