Cardiac Anesthesiologist

• No trauma, no peds, rare OB involvement
• Call from home with low call back rates

Responsibilities

• Perform case assignments including Cardiac, General, Endo, Ortho, OB, Vascular, Neuro, GYN, Urology, Radiology, Electrophysiology
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: if Cardiac Trained, $525,000
• Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $100,000 for 3 year commitment

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• TEE proficiency is required
• Completion of Cardiac Fellowship
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
