Cardiac Anesthesiologist

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a private Catholic, non-profit hospital in Rockford, IL, is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its nationally ranked heart program. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care in a fast-paced environment, supported by outstanding surgeons and staff. The center is a designated Level I trauma center, dedicated to serving a diverse community.

• Case assignments include light OB, cardiac, healthy peds, ortho, spine, general, GYN, and advanced cardiac procedures including robotic cardiac, TEVAR, TAVR, robotic lung resections

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Compensation

• Salary: $550,000 annually
• Sign-on incentive: $100,000
• Cardiac Stipend: $50,000

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• BE or BC
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
