Cardiac Anesthesiologist

St. David's Health Care is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a well-established practice in Austin, TX. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services within a care team model at St. David's Medical Center and other affiliated hospitals. Practice Info

• Practice provides anesthesia services at St. David’s Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, South Austin Hospital, and Round Rock Medical Center
• Diverse group composed of anesthesiologists and CRNAs
• Anesthesia services provided following a care team model

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $440,000+
• ~$130,000 productivity and call pay (total ~$570,000)
• Premium pay over 40 hours
• Cardiac specialty stipend: $50,000
• Sign on Incentive: $50,000

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician
