Cardiac Acute Care Services – Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Piedmont Mountainside Hospital

Join Piedmont as an Advanced Practice Provider for Cardiac Acute Care Inpatient services in Jasper, Georgia, working full-time day shifts Monday–Friday.

Overview

Work alongside a leading cardiology program at Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI). The role involves providing comprehensive cardiovascular services across electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical, and research units.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
• Assess patients and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including stress testing, to aid physicians in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient’s record.
• Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
• Prepare patient workups.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of direct patient care services.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and other Cardiology APPs within a team.

Qualifications

• PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
• NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing.
