Job Title: Fine Dining Captain

Classification: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | At will
Compensation: Hourly + Tips + Service Charge 

Reports To: General Manager / Owners / AGM

We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional culinary experience, impeccable service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our menu features seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and our wine and cocktail program is crafted to complement each dish with elegance.

We are seeking a polished, professional, and knowledgeable Fine Dining Captain to join our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, possesses a strong understanding of fine dining etiquette, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

• Provide an elevated guest experience by delivering attentive, personalized service
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the food and beverage menus, including wine and spirits (natural wine knowledge is a plus)
• Guide guests through their dining experience with thoughtful recommendations and menu insight
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization in the dining area
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and service procedures according to company policy and health regulations
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, escalating when necessary

• 2+ years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings (formal training or certification is a plus)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Grace under pressure and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha, or similar)
